According to the Plant Protection Department, the tension of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine has strongly affected the supply and price of fertilizers globally, in which the domestic Fertilizer market has also been affected in terms of supply and price. Vietnamese import enterprises have only successfully received goods with 3 fertilizer ships from February 2022 to present, currently there are about 30,000 – 40,000 tons of fertilizers that Vietnamese enterprises have signed contracts to order from the Middle East, but now the transaction has been canceled by the partner. For Potassium fertilizer, Belarus and Russia are the two largest suppliers in the world, accounting for 40% of global supply.
