The price of raw rice OM 18 increased slightly while the price of finished rice is stable. In the world market, the export price of Vietnamese rice remained stable after a downward adjustment session. Specifically, the price of 5% broken rice is 398 USD/ton; 25% broken rice is 383 USD/ton; 100% broken rice is 383 USD/ton. Statistics show that, although rice export competition is quite fierce, Vietnamese products are still increasingly popular in the world market. In the first 7 months of 2022, rice exports reached 4.19 million tons, equivalent to a value of more than 2 billion USD, up 20.5% in volume and 9% in value over the same period in 2021. This is a record high export level ever. Among Vietnam’s rice import markets, the US is the country with the strongest increase, up 65.3% in the first half of the year.
